Colour implant is also known as micro-pigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. It is commonly used for eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liner colour however, it is also effective for stretchmarks, scar camouflage, areola restoration, hairline enhancement, alopecia and cleft palate. If you suffer allergies to traditional makeup, this procedure can help enhance features without the pain of using allergy–inducing products.
The procedure is less intrusive than tattooing. Small pigments of colour are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin which produces a subtle, enhancing effect on the area. Whilst the pigment is permanent, the vibrancy of the colour varies with each individual. This variance is influenced by metabolism, skin tone, skin management (including facial peeling), age and exposure to the sun.
Colour Implant takes up to two hours for most areas. A topical anaesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to reduce any discomfort. Some patients describe the procedure as pain-free, however some experience slight discomfort depending on the area being treated.
In most cases, patients will be able to return to work and normal duties straight after the procedure. Some side effects include bruising, swelling and minor discomfort.
In two hours you will have results that last up to 3 to 7 years.
